DescriptionPhotocopies of eight drawings from 'Anatomy of the Human Body'.

Annotations made by Lockhart on 23 April 1983 state that one of these drawings [not marked] 'was of a dissection for which I was awarded the Struthers Gold Medal and Prize in Anatomy before Dr Gilbert Hamilton came to Anatomy.' He also states that another did not appear in the version of the book published by ?G. Lippincott and discusses Faber and Faber's decision to 'retain our original index which all three original authors considered much superior to the index made by Lippincott at his own expense, which Doctors Hamilton, Fyfe and I disliked', and other improvements which appeared in the edition published by Faber and Faber's Baltimore office, USA.
