Administrative HistoryLockhart's 'Dissection of the Head and Neck' won him the Struthers Gold Medal in the University of Aberdeen, c 1920.

The Struthers Gold Medal and Prize was founded by Sir John Struthers (1823 - 1899), anatomist and zoologist, in 1891. It was to be awarded to an Aberdeen undergraduate for the best dissection of the year, with the winning dissection kept for posterity to be displayed in the Anatomy Museum. In recent years the competition has been extended to also include the best original research in Anatomy, and is open to all those who are attending, or have attended, the practical anatomy class in the University.

One negative and two prints (identical) of Lockhart's dissection of the head and neck (cross section), annotated to show 'cerebral, spinal and sympathetic nerves in human head and neck.'

Mounted photograph and negative of G.S. Cameron's illustration of Lockhart's dissection of the head and neck (cross section). The envelope in which the photograph was originally stored was dated 14 December 1949: it is not known if this refers to the date that the drawing was made or the date that it was photographed.
