Administrative HistoryIn recognition of Lockhart's long service to the University and his outstanding contribution to the Anthropological Museum, a new exhibition, The Lockhart Room, was opened by Principal McNicol on 14 October 1985. Although apparently intended as a permanent tribute to Lockhart and a show case for the fine collection of Chinese pottery and bronzes that he had assembled during his curatorship, the room was dismantled shortly afterwards and became used as office space within the Museum.
DescriptionSmall collection of papers and photographs relating to refurbishment of the Museum after Lockhart's retirement and the appointment of Charles Hunt as his successor, relating in particular, to the dedication of The Lockhart Room..
