Administrative HistoryChinese stoneware and porcelain vessels of the Song dynasty, and modelled pottery figures dating from the Han and Tang dynasties were a revelation when they first became available to British collectors in the early twentieth century and soon also became models and inspiration for British studio pottery. George Eumorfopoulos (1863 - 1939) was the leading British collector of early Chinese ceramics and his collection forms the basis of the British Museum collection.

The book is now in the University Library. Annotations by his executor state that Lockhart purchased the 'book' of the Eumorforpoulos Collection whilst he was still Professor of Anatomy and give further details about the Eumorforpoulos Collection.
