DescriptionTypescript copies of 'The Circus of Life' delivered to the Aberdeen University Anatomical and Anthropological Society, 17 December 1931; the Midland Medical Society, 11 January 1933; and to medical, nursing and social work personnel at the University of Birmingham, Stoke-on-Trent, 17 May 1934. The Midland Medical Society version includes numbered illustrations accompanying the lecture; the Stoke-on-Trent version is sub-titled 'The Acrobat in Radiogram and Cinema.'

Newspaper cutting from the 'Birmingham Mail, 20 January 1933, regarding investigation into the movement of joints, using X-ray, cinematograph and anatomical experiments, being carried out at Birmingham University under Lockhart's instruction. The study used members of the Mid-Air Girls and Hindustan troupes as their subjects.
