| Administrative History | Aberdeen Association for Improving the Condition of the Poor was established in 1870. In 1947 its name was changed to Aberdeen Association of Social Service. Merger with several other local voluntary agencies (Linn Moor, Aberdeen Children's Society, Richmond House and Aberdeen Old People's Welfare Council) took place during 1973-74 and in 1978 it adopted a new title, Voluntary Service Aberdeen. |
