Administrative HistoryMary Esslemont's father and grandfather had both been elected Liberal MPs for Aberdeen South and her mother was onetime president of the Aberdeen Women's Liberal Association. Mary Esslemont also held this presidency in 1945, and in 1954 became the first woman president of the Aberdeen Liberal Association.
