Administrative HistoryMar Lodge is a hunting lodge situated to the west of Braemar Castle on the Mar Estate, Aberdeenshire. The lodge referred to here burned down in 1895 and was replaced by a lodge built by the 1st Duke of Fife and his wife, Princess Louisa, grand-daughter of Queen Victoria, in 1898.
