DescriptionLetter by Viscount Keith, dated Foudroyant, Bay of Aboukir, 6 April 1801, to Major General Henry Pigot, the military commander at Malta, asking the latter to make arrangements to collect the body of Sir Ralph Abercromby for burial in Malta.

George Keith Elphinstone, 1st Viscount Keith (1746 - 1823), was the naval commander of the 1800 expedition to Egypt. Sir Ralph Abercromby, the military commander of the expedition, was wounded during the battle of Aboukir on 21 March 1801 , and died on board Keith's flagship HMS Foudroyant on 28 March.
