Administrative HistoryFarquhar Baliol MacRae worked as a government administrator in Northern Rhodesia (modern Zambia) from 1925 to 1966. He served as an administrative officer in the government, then as a member of the Northern Rhodesian Legislative Council, as Nyasaland Government Representative (modern Malawi), as Northern Rhodesian Labour Officer in the Union of South Africa, and as Member of Parliament of Rhodesia and Nyasaland. After retiring in 1966, he farmed for a time in Africa before returning to England.
