Description | ?Incomplete letter from Jennie Dick, ?D, to Mrs Hamilton, telling Hamilton that she makes her feel angry and pleased with her at the same time. Letter mentions Miss ?Ives and praises James Beattie's philosophical works. Letter describes Dick's difficult journey and her pleasure in reading Beattie's works. Letter talks about Beattie's 'Essay on the Immatability of moral Truth' and Beattie's criticism of David Hume's philosophy. Mentions the ?'argure - robed Nymph'; Dick's past 'chin cough' and tells Hamilton she hopes for the good health of Hamilton's family.
