Administrative HistoryWilliam Wilson [c. 1766?-1791 or 1793?] Marischal College 1780-1784. The son of a poor man. Became Beattie's protege, lived in his family, attended Marischal College, and was a tutor to Montagu Beattie. He was taught medicine by Dr Skene. Briefly went to Jamaica in 1788 but returned for health reasons, and was in partnership with a Dr Finlay at Fraserburgh. Was a friend of James Hay Beattie, in whose final illness in 1790 he was a constant companion and medical attendant. Drowned in 1791 or 1793
