Administrative HistoryJames Williamson [1743-1813] was a pupil of Beattie at Marischal College, probably around 1759-1763. Listed in the Marischal Fasti as becoming a minister in the Church of Scotland. He was at St Alban's Hall, Oxford, in 1768-1772. He was Fellow of Hertford College in 1783. He studied Mathematics and wrote a treatise on Euclid. He was a strong admirer of Beattie, who in return advised Williamson on his studies
