DescriptionVery poor health for last two months has obliged him to lay aside reading and writing. Quarto must must be laid aside till next winter and Mrs Montagu will have shown Lady Mayne the proposed card explaining this to subscribers. Will bring papers for the volume to the Maynes for their opinion. Could answer everything in Priestly's book about himelf if he had a few weeks of good health. Materials are ready, and Beattie has asked one of his scholars to do it if he dies. But all Priestley's arguments are already answered in the Essay.
