DescriptionSorry Brigden has been so ill. Everything has turned out as Beattie wished, despite constant suspence, hurry and irresolution. Pension of £200 p.a. with emoluments of present office will procure Beattie every convenience he desires at Aberdeen, and power now and then to visit England and cultivate friendships. Beattie now called to urgent business in Scotland
