Description	Thanks for ring of which Mrs Beattie had sent as memorial of Mr Boyd's and her friendship. His stay at Gordon castle was beneficial to him. Praise of Duchess and Duke. In introductory part of book [Dissertations, pp. vi-vii] Beattie has brought in indirect compliments to the noble couple.
