DescriptionJust returned from five weeks at Gordon Castle. Thanks for Forbes' kind invitation to St Andrew's St for him and his son. The boy is not well following measles. Beattie intends to come to Edinburgh anyway and will bring every manuscript he has. He has become good friend with Mr Nairn and Lord Kames thanks to the influence of the Duchess. Mentions Blair's and Gerard's sermons. Gerard was Beattie's master and friend. Beattie will bring the sequel to the discourse on dreaming and either make a Mirror of it or give it to Creech to join the second paper on that subject when the Mirrors are printed in volume.
