DescriptionFlattering thanks for copy of picture. He wishes he could visit Gordon Castle, but cannot leave Mrs Beattie. Friends in England in tears over the death of Garrick. Beattie once intended to address some verses to him. Mirror being published in Edinburgh. He will send it to the Duchess of Gordon, but greatly inferior to Spectator.
