Administrative History	Harrietta Maria Bowdler [1754-1830] Religious writer. (Both W. Forbes and M. Forbes refer to her as Harriet).
Description	Undated note addressed to Beattie at the Revd Mr Williamson's Little Smith Street, regretting that her sister is ill and unable to meet Beattie. Beattie stayed with the Williamsons at Little Smith Street in July 1787 and in June 1791. Reference to Miss Bowdler in a letter [NLS Acc.4796, Fettercairn Box 92, makes 1791 date more likely.
