At Pinkerton's request he even included a puff for Pinkerton's Rimes (London, 1781) in Dissertations Moral and Critical
DescriptionHas published Scottish Tragic Ballads, now working on comic ballads. Has Beattie written anything in the Scottish dialect? 'You are the living monument of poetry in Scotland'
