Lady (Frances) Mayne, later Lady Newhaven [d. 1801]. Wife of Sir William Mayne. Formerly Frances Allen, the heiress of a considerable estate in Ireland. She kept up a correspondence with Beattie and his wife for some years
Description
Glad Beattie mentioned the deductions on his pension because it gives her an answer to the very few who question why he needs the subscription. Lord Dartmouth was delighted to subscribe. Sir William landed in Dublin with Lord Carysfort on 8 October and has taken several subscription papers for himself, Lord Dartry and Mr Vesey
