Dr John Majendie [1709-1783] Church of England clergyman, Canon of Windsor, Instructor to Queen Charlotte, and tutor to the young princes. Arranged Beattie's audience with the King at Kew in August 1773
Description
Rejoices that Beattie is likely to have good news by Thursday, and hopes he will be presented to the Queen. An incident this morning made Majendie think everything bears a favourable aspect. Hopes that Batties will visit him before they leave for the north. [Postscript] If Thursday sennight or any other Thursday suits Beattie, let Majendie know beforehand. Particular reason to wish he could arrive before twelve o'clock
