| Description | Letters (MS 2727/2/60-106) by 4th Earl Fife to his brother-in-law, Richard Wharton [Duff] who is addressed variously as 'Richard', 'Wharton', or Comptroller'; those which have been insufficiently dated have been listed first; some of the others may have been assigned to the wrong year as Lord Fife's method of forming certain figures, e.g. 19, 24 and 29 has made deciphering difficult; the covers only have been preserved in some cases, and these have been listed under MS 2727/106/1-5.
