TitleAberdeen Clarion Club minute book
Date28 November 1903 - 19 September 1908
Extent1 volume
DescriptionMinutes of the weekly meetings (not held during the summer months) include nominations for membership, resignations, attendance, members off to America to make the "proverbial pile" and reports on lectures.

The minutes vary in their length from full discussions of the points raised in a debate (such as 9 November 1907, "Mr Gillivrary spoke against the suffrage to women saying although they make good members of local administration bodies they could not be legislators he pointed out that they could not discuss questions of war and commerce.") to only the title of the lecture. Mention is also given to reports from the Editor of the magazine as well as the "Cinderella section" and social events of the Club such as Hogmanay Dinners and Burns Suppers with enjoyable "singing and dancing."

New rules for the Club are listed in the minutes for the annual business meeting on 19 September 1908.
