| Description | Letters of removing granted under the signet at Edinburgh at the instance of Mr James Hay of Rannes following upon decreet of removing obtained on 19th June 1625 before the sheriff of Banff against Thomas Hay in Lonheid tenant of an oxgate of land at the sea [?] and pertinents - 4 houses and biggings at Rathven etc. (occupiers named) - other tenants also listed - all in barony of Rathven - to be removed for arrears of rent or services- they had not obeyed the sheriff's precept following an decreet and letters now raised accordingly under pain of horning & escheat. Signed 24 October. |
