DescriptionLetters of suspension then granted under the signet at Edinburgh (and signed on 25th June) at the instance of Mr James Hay of Rannes against Master David Forrester present parson at Rathven who had raised general letters charging Hay to pay £6 and 6 bolls victual claimed to be due to Forrester from teind silver and victual in augmentation of victual for his parish of Rathven for crops and years 1620, 1621 & 1622 - per year 2 bolls victual, 40 shillings and 10 merks per year furth of the "pleugh" of ye lands of Rannes, Connes, of Lonheid & other sums of augmentation. Letters are suspended on complainer finding caution & Forrester is charged to bring proof of his allegations before Lords of Council and Session.
