DescriptionManuscript written in 17th century hand, on paper, in Old Scots as if to form part of a pamphlet or pamphlets on sheets folded into 8" x 6.5" format. [In the same hand as MS 2264/13] and headed "Indytement [this word is scored out] thift, roberie, sorning, takeing of blackmaill, willfull fyrasing [?], murder and others, Patrick Ray McGrigor, Patrick Drum[m]ond". Accused of acting in company with Lauchlane McIntosh against late John Lyon of Munesk in his lands of Belchirie. McIntosh had been executed at Edinburgh and McGrigor with others had afterwards descended on Lyon's lands on 7 April 1666, carried him off with his son after setting fire to the house and eventually murdered them on 11 April on Braes of Abernethy. The band also descended on the town of Keith in February last killing some and wounding John Ogilvy of Milntown and Thomas Gordon, brother of Alex. Gordon of Glengarioch. McGrigor and Drummond were themselves wounded and eventually captured and taken to Edinburgh for trial now. See MS 2264/13
