| Description | Letter from W. Henry, St. John's Road, [Edinburgh] to William Rose, Montcoffer, giving details requested re. Pitfour's Charter, 6 August 1767 registered in Privy Seal records on 11th or 17th August 1767. Disposition to him by Earl Marischal was dated 5 March 1764 and registered in book of session 26 July 1765. "Old Pitfour" had bought part of the Marischal estate from him and the earl had purchased them from the York Building Co. & assigned most of the lands to Pitfour in whose name, was a decreet of sale dated 2 March 1764. Hopes information sent is sufficient to make Rose's claim effectual. Anderson willing to permit Rose to have extracts. |
