| Description | Contemporary copy of the locality of the parish of Rathven as given in and subscribed by Charles Hay on 3rd of February at Edinburgh to the Lords of Council and Session, commissioning for the plantation of kirks & valuation of teinds consequent upon their decreet of 1 February 1721 which modified the stipend of said parish as 9 chalders victual & 300 merks Scots & 100 merks for communion elements. This shows varying amounts payable from lands of Duke of Gordon & Earl of Findlater & lands of other heritors, etc.
In dorso is a copy of a note dated Edinburgh 21 February 1721, stating that Lord Pollock [Lord Ordinary] was of the opinion that within locality should be approved sic sub. Jo. Maxwell. |
