DescriptionLetter from A. Irvine, Berners Street to Charles Gordon. Dr. Irvine had been given an introduction to the Secretary, Mr. Monroe, and hopes to recover losses. Writer is about to leave for visit to west of England and will spend some weeks in Plymouth. He is against abolition of slavery. Postscript on 23rd intimates that abolition question has been postponed until next year. Skene was leaving for Harrogate.
