DescriptionMemorial for Charles Gordon of Buthlaw. Respects claim in his favour of servitude of moss of Torteston or Caamoss. Buthlaw, Thunderton and Outmoor of Torteston were apprised by Lord Fraser, thence by progress to Charles Gordon. Barony of Torteston had formerly belonged to Keith of Ravenscrag and been held of the Earl Marischal; part had been purchased since the forfeiture of Marischal’s estate from the Crown by the Maiden’s Hospital.
