Administrative History | A son of the manse, George Chalmers was born in 1655 and educated at Marischal College, Aberdeen, graduating MA in 1675. He became schoolmaster at Drumblade, which was then in the presbytery of Turriff, and was ordained and presented as minister there in 1682/3. His nephew and son-in-law was James Chalmers, Professor of Divinity at Marischal College. George Chalmers died in 1702. |
