The notes begin: These pople haue receaued, and dailie doe receaue out of England, suche Ayde and releefe: Besydes vther courtesies as they nether could, nor they want, without their greatt penury and distresse.
The notes continue to list injuries done to the merchants by 'this island's people', and their lack of gratitude for what they receive from England. |
