Description | Letter in French to the Earl of Leicester from the Sheriffs and Magistrates of the city of Utrecht and the other towns of the province, apologising for any disrespect shown to Leicester and any failure to recognise the benefits conferred by Queen Elizabeth, promising in the strongest terms to uphold the authority of Leicester as Governor-General, and responding to his demand for contributions.
