Description | Notes and copies of manuscripts, photographs, mid 20th century; Various manuscripts used in research, including three copies of 'Le Livre des propriétés des choses'; Part of MA dissertation, National University of Ireland, undated, c.1950; Teaching and research notes on art history, notably Dutch and Flemish artists, c 1950 - 1988. Also includes later deposit of an off-print of a paper written by Raymon Keaveney of the National Gallery of Ireland entitled 'Sciolante at the Palazzo Spada: Scipio Africano or Alexander the Great', taken from 'Scritti di storia dell'arte in onore di Frederico Zeri': enclosed is a letter, dated 12 September 1984, from Keaveney to Byrne requesting Byrne review a typescript [not identified] which had apparently been enclosed.
