| Administrative History | Charles Skene (fl. 1795 - 1839) was descended from the Skenes of Drumbreck, a younger branch of the Skenes of Skene. He graduated MA from Marischal College, Aberdeen, 1795, and MD from Edinburgh, 1799. He was Professor of Medicine at Marischal College, Aberdeen, from 1823 to 1839. He had eight children: his fourth son, Alexander, was killed in the Indian Mutiny with his wife and two children. |
