[This manuscript was enclosed with MS 2013/9, a letter addressed to William Dundas, dated 23 June, 1795. Shaw had backed a 'press warrant' for Captain Cable for the navy on 5th which is resented and duke is being blamed for this action by the government. He discusses recommendation by the House of Keys for augmentation of salary of Lieutenant Governors which he claims to have been made without his knowledge.] |
