| Administrative History | Sir James Russell Brazier, (fl 1875-1921), orientalist. Brazier was the son of Professor Brazier of the Chemistry Department at Aberdeen University. He was a student there from 1875 to 1879, and spent the greater part of his life in the Consular service of the Chinese government. |
