'This volume was supplementary to that of 1725. It is largely in the handwriting of Rev. John Fyfe (librarian from 1857) but was evidently begun to one of his prodecessors Rev. Thomas Annand (1855 - 56), Dr Robert Bower (1850 - 1856), Rev. James Leslie (1849 - 1850) or Dr George Dickie (1844 - 1849). In use till issue of the printed catalogue in 1873 - 1874. |
