Administrative History	The fund for a provision for the widows and children of the Ministers of the Church and Professors of the Universities of Scotland.
Description	Volumes list the details of the appointment of Professors, dates of their appointments and dates of their deaths or resignation from their posts. Details of marriages, including wife's name and marriage dates are accompanied by, where appropriate, names of children with their dates of birth and occasionally dates of death. The function of these volumes appears to be to record family members of Professors who would be entitled to the Widow's fund. Both volumes have large sections of blank pages throughout.
