Description | Administrative papers is an artificial series of documents, which have no clear organisation, distinctive date range or function but have been retained together in within the Crown Tower material. It is possible that these documents were arranged within the Crown Tower for a distinctive, but unknown, purpose. The subject matter varies with papers relating to College estates, accounts, internal college business and external relations. Within administrative papers there are three series: General administration, 1620 - 1860; General administration - Post union; and General Papers. General Papers is a distinct group of papers, originally labelled New Charter Chest 31, which was previously labelled 'Valuation of teinds and other documents'. The bundle has no clear organisation and no clear subject matter but contains general administrative papers. |
