Administrative History | The following Professors, Readers and Lecturers constituted the Faculty: the Professors of Chemistry, Natural History, Botany, Natural Philosophy, Anatomy, Physiology, Pathology, Materia Medica, Medicine, Surgery, Midwifery, Forensic Medicine, Bacteriology, the Reader in Embryology and the Lecturer in Public Health and Infectious Disesases (taken from the 1925 - 1926 University Calendar).
In academic year 1989 - 1990 the Faculties were re-structured and now included Biological Sciences, Clinical Medicine and Engineering & Mathematical & Physical Sciences. In the year 1995 - 1996 the Faculties were reduced to four and now included Medicine & Medical Sciences and Science & Engineering.
In 2003 the Faculties were re-structured to form the three Colleges (College of Arts & Social Sciences, College of Life Sciences & Medicine and College of Physical Sciences). |
