Undated notebook entitled 'Surgical Instruments & Apparatus Anatomical Preparations & Inventories';

Undated 'Catalogue of Instruments, Specimens, Diagrams & Microscope Slides' used 'in connection with the Class of Surgery';

'Catalogue of Preparations, Instruments, etc. in the Surgery Department Marischal Museum University of Aberdeen', dated c.1882 - c.1923;

and Specimen Book, 'recording the histories and facts relating to specimens placed in the Surgery museum', c.1904 - c.1932.

The six volumes indicate the continuation of the teaching of surgery during the late nineteenth to twentieth centuries, through the repetition of notes and the changes in teacher of surgery & handwriting in the volumes.

In addition, the 'Surgical Museum' series includes papers, dated 1888 - 1910, relating to Lieutenant Colonel Joseph Forbes Keith's work on lithotomies, which he performed in India.
