Administrative HistoryJohn Drummond of Logiealmond, Perthshire, entered the Prussian service under his kinsman, Field Marshal James Keith, and became aide-de-camp to Frederick II in 1750. He died in 1776. Several letters by Frederick to him were formerly preserved at the mansion-house at Logiealmond but were lost before 1868.
SourceGeorge Stewart (1798 - 1847) of Grantully presented the letter to the Principal of Marischal College, Aberdeen, in 1838. Stewart was Drummond's grandson.
