| Administrative History | William Peebles Rorison was born at Stair in 1826, a son of the manse. He was educated at Glasgow and licensed in 1850 at Ayr. In 1851 he was presented by the Duke of Hamilton to the parish of Dalserf in Hamilton and ordained. He was awarded a DD by Glasgow in 1900, and died in 1907. He is buried at Stair. |
