DescriptionCollection of correspondence, notes and papers relating to the Student Show and other performances retained by JF Mackay.

1. Small red memo book kept by J.F. Mackay containing record of plays/shows performed in and including press cuttings of reviews of performances, 1927-35.

2. Aberdeen University Students' Gala Week Concert Programme by the Tango Tertian Tourers, with numerous signatures on reverse [1927?].

3. Sheet with signatures of class mates, "Signed by VI at Isaac Benzies 14th December 1931" - noted by JF Mackay as "This must be end of school party!!".

4. Note re reading fee from Lord Chamberlain's Office, St James' Palace, March 1935.

5. Draft note relating to record sale for Out for the Count show 1936.

- Card from Sir Alexander Greig Anderson offering congratulations on Student Show performance of 1936.
- Note from Uncle James (James Hay) with reference to his wife's passing and in relation to JF Mackay's graduation, July 1937.
- Card from W. Murison dated 21 April 1936 offering congratulations on success of show.
- Letter from Roy Milne to JF Mackay dated 24 March 1936 asking for opinion on draft note they are sending to Jimmy Ross and asking if he still has scripts for Spic and Span.
- Letter from D.S. Raitt dated 6 May 1936 addressed from Marine Lab at Torry thanking JF Mackay for gift and his happiness at outcome of 'Out for the Count'.
- Typescript letter to HJ Butchart, Secretary, University of Aberdeen from JF Mackay as Convener, Production Committee, 'Out for the Count' dated 5 May 1936 thanking House Committee for use of Gymnasium for rehearsals during Easter vacation and reporting some accidental damage to equipment and enquiring as to cost of repair.
- Letter to JF Mackay dated 24 March 1936 from Roy Milne re changes to script (for Out for the Count).
- Card from Helen Norrie dated 11 May 1936 thanking JFM for gift of lighter and commenting on how she enjoyed working on the show.
- Letter to JFM from D. Raitt dated 17 January 1936 commenting on how much he enjoyed show Spic and Span and commenting on press criticism of show.
- Letter to JFM from WG Craigen? dated 24 April 1936 offering congratulations on show Out for the Count.
- Letter to JFM from Allan [Frazer?], 7 Dec 1987 recounting memories of unknown show, possibly Out for the Count.

7. Script (faded, annotated) for show in 1933 [possibly Town and Gown]. Name 'Kenneth' added at top.

8. Script for Act III, Scene I 'A Room in the Prison...' (the word 'BESS' added at top). Typescript, annotated.
