Description	Collection of letters and other papers belonging to the Stewarts of Hazelside and the Douglases of Hazelside. (Douglas parish, Lanarkshire). Includes a charter of Charles I granting the Barony of Symington to Archibald Stewart of Hazelside, a letter of 1660 from William Stewart describing the situation at court in London, and letters from Lady Jane Douglas addressed to the Douglases of Hazelside but intended for her brother. An inventory of these papers dated 1826 is included at MS 3898/2/1/3/12.
