Administrative HistoryGeorge Sinclair (1925 - 1992) worked in stage management from 1943 - 1989, for a range of productions including thirty-eight Student Shows (starting backstage in the show 'Nuts in April' in 1943), The Lyric Society, Jean Birse Dancing School and Powis Academy. He graduated from The University of Aberdeen in 1949 with an MA in English followed by an M(ed) hons in 1952. His Alma Mater awarded a doctorate in Law in 1989, partly due to his substantial contribution to the student shows. A teacher by profession, George became head teacher of Powis Academy, a post he held for twenty-one years. William (Bill) McCann was stage manager for 23 student shows, finally retiring after the 1957 show.
Custodial HistoryIt is presumed at some point that the collection of William (Bill) McCann (predecessor stage manager) was given to George Sinclair. After George Sinclair died, his wife and family added some later material.
