Administrative HistorySir George Anderson (1845 - 1923) was born in Fraserburgh 26th march 1845 the son of John Anderson. He was married in 1870 to Mary, the youngest daughter of Alexander Anderson of London. HE entered into the service of the North of Scotland bank as apprentice in 1857 working to general manager in 1889. Treasurer of the Bank of Scotland and Convenor and Chairman of the Scottish Bank Managers 1898 - 1917. President of the Institute of Bankers in Scotland 1903 - 1907. Justice of the Peace for Aberdeenshire and Midlothian. Attended court at Holyrood in 1903 and 1911 as Deputy Usher of White rod of Scotland.
