Administrative History	The Students' Medical Society of the University of Edinburgh is now the Royal Medical Society.
Description	Detached red wax seal in tin box, showing the head of Hippocrates and the motto Hippocrate Duce Naturae Ministro. Apparently the seal of the Students' Medical Society of the University of Edinburgh, by comparison with MS 2206/8/2 (James Gregory's membership certificate for that society) and presumably detached from a membership certificate (not present) belonging to Francis Ogston.
